It took me awhile to find the right entrance for the backstage pass.

I finally found it! It was inside a gigantic tent at the back of the Lincoln Center. There were so many buildings that it took me awhile to find the “back” of it.

Upon entering, I met these lovely ladies and they can’t find me on their Backstage Press List! After half an hour of trying to contact Chastity, the problem was resolved. My name was under Napoleon Perdis’ Press List.

All the models looks so pretty without makeup on. I can’t wait to see what they look like after makeup is use.

Everyone was hard at work getting all the models ready for the fashion show.

On one side, Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics makeup artists were working on the models’ makeup.

On the other side, hair stylists of Tela Design Studio by Philip Pelusi were working on the models’ hair.

I love this model. She looks so natural and pretty with just the smokey eyes. I love it! It’s perfect!

Can anyone tell me what’s her name? Can’t seem to find her on the model’s list/poster.

Napoleon Perdis, Founder of Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics was busy finishing up the final touches on a model.

Model Cora came rushing in and still look splendid without any major makeup on.

Hair stylists surrounded her getting her ready for the fashion show. She looks great already!

Napoleon Perdis’ Face Sheet for the models makeup. My favorite product used would be the China Doll Eyeliner Equinox. I love that it creates such a dark and precise eyeline on the models. I can’t wait to get it for myself!

Donald attempted to plan my birthday which was a fail since I ban his suggestions. I thought he knew me well enough to plan it but he didn’t. Donald, better luck next time. lol. Sister was missing because she was seriously sick. I missed her that night.

I decided to go back to B Flat in the Tribeca area. (Been there before for Chef Akiyama’s Pop-Up Gourmet event.) It’s a nice jazz lounge. If I don’t have class Monday and Wednesday night,  I would come back to experience the live jazz.

We all started off the night with some alcohol. Wendy got Pineapple and Rum. Alina got a beer of some kind. Donald got a Lychee Martini.

I ordered also a Lychee Martini. It wasn’t strong but it was enough for me. My face was red by the end of the night.

Wendy holding the fries as if it was a trophy! lol. We had 2 orders of it. It was sooo good. Nice and hot and freshly made. Yum. I would go back just for it.

The flash was so bright. We all blinked. Look like we were all sleeping. lol.

Donald looks like a weirdo with his eyes wide open like that, as if something surprised him or he’s in shock. Amazingly, Alina and I didn’t not blink in this picture.

I ordered the Mushroom Spaghetti in butter soy sauce, topped w/ shiso & dried seaweed. It was a little too oily at the end but it was still good.

Wendy and Alina got the same thing. They got Roasted Chicken with scallion ginger sauce and served with mashed potatoes, sautéed onion & corn in hot plate. I like the roasted chicken, it’s was very soft and moist. Alina think it was too moist. Is there such thing as too moist for chicken meat?

Donald ordered the Meat Sauce Rigatoni which is minced beef ragu & tomato sauce topped w/ parmesan & mozzarella. I didn’t tried his so I don’t know if it was good or not.

For our beginner dessert, we ordered a Green Tea Chocolate Souffle with vanilla ice cream. It was too cakey and too little green tea flavor. I rather get another order of fries then this.

This was the main dessert. It was creamy and good but would  have been better if they have placed the cake in the freezer. The rest of the cake is almost finish now (last piece in my freezer).

This was the only group picture we had. It’s a small group but it was nice! We had fun hanging out to celebrate my birthday. Overall it was a decent night out even though it was extremely windy and cold. Until next year’s birthday!

To all the ladies out there, stay youthful and pretty! Hope everyone will make lot of money this year, enough to the point of spill out of their pocket! 招財進寶 and 盤滿砵滿. This year their is a little extra something I would need and that is, 學業進步. As some of you know, I recently started going to school again and would need to do well in it. Too all the students out there too, 學業進步!

This year I found more cute stamps from different Asian countries celebrating the coming of the rabbit year! Some of them are cute, while others looks interesting.

Now the formal part of the wedding was over, Nancy, Steven, and their friends started going wild. This was when the real party began!

Now on to the special day for Nancy and Steven! They also had a luncheon in NJ to celebrate. (I didn’t take any pictures at the luncheon.)

Nancy and I started the day early at 8:45am at the hair salon for our hair and makeup.

Nancy’s hairdo looks pretty but the makeup was so so. The person who did our makeup did a badass job. We look better w/o the makeup then with; even I can do a better job then her.

I didn’t even want to look at myself with the makeup on. I look like I got a pair of swollen eye. As for my hair, it looks blah from the front (because my curls are too tight and too short) and great from the back.

While I get my horrible makeup done. Nancy and her mom left to go back to their place to change into the proper clothing. By the time I arrive at their house, Nancy and Steven were already getting into the car! Damn. I miss my chance to “play the groom and the best man.” >.<

Wish I had a wedding ring like hers. I only had my Heritage Ring from Swarovski Crystals. (I also had Calgel on my nails but with a much simpler design.)

The banquet was held at Mulan Restaurant. It was located on the 2nd floor of Queens Crossing on Main Street and 39th Avenue in downtown Flushing.

I like this lacy and flowery entrance. So pretty and girly!

The restaurant very empty when we arrived but the place was decorated very nicely for a westernized wedding banquet. It has a very nice waterfall curtain surrounding the main tables.

A lot of pictures were taken through out the day.

They started off the banquet with the Tea Ceremony where the bride and groom presents a cup of tea and bow to each of their parents and the elders of their family. The elders in return will give their word of wisdom, red envelope or jewelry.

Nancy and I in the “dressing/fitting room”. I had to help her get into her puffy wedding dress. It was really more like a regular room with chairs against the wall and a table with a standing mirror next to it AND get this. There was NO LOCK on the door! Anyone could have walked in while she was changing! Crappy dressing room.

Nancy finally in her gorgeous wedding dress! It may not look puffy but it’s actually a lot of layers. I love her wedding dress!

This is their wedding cake! There was two of them. It looks simple and elegant and it was super yummy! Their was blueberry in it. My favorite!

This was the first dress I tried and and I loved it! Love the ruffles on it. It was a tight fit, a tad too small.

This dress was pretty too. I like the color and design of it. You can not really see my stomach sticking out but I would like it more if it was a little shorter.

I like the color and shape of this dress but it don’t look so good on me. I can see my stomach sticking out and it needs more sequin at the bottom of the dress.

This dress looks like something I would wear on a regular basics or a fancier night gown then a bridesmaid dress.

This one is way too long and it makes me look a lot older. If I was 27 to 30 yrs old the this would be okay.

Nancy stepped away to use the restroom so I took this one myself. I don’t like this green and the top half of the dress was too big/wide. It barely covered my chest.

This one was alright though it was a little too plain and too long. I prefer shorter dresses.

This one was pretty good but still a little too long for my style.

After an hr of trying on these dresses, we end up buying the first dress I tried on. Though it was a tad tight but I can deal with it. Now I am official a bridesmaid! Can’t wait till the wedding!
